Defending your rights with expertise and care.
Guy Gosheron and Niall Theobald established G&T Solicitors in April 2025, joining the vastly experienced solicitor Richard Middleton before he concluded his practice in September 2025. Bringing together over 30 years of experience in criminal defence, their complementary skills ensure that clients receive expert legal representation tailored to their unique circumstances be it prior to- or during an investigation, at the Magistrates' Court or at the Crown Court.
When you are represented by G&T Solicitors you can be sure you are getting the best advice directly from solicitors and barristers for your case. All of the work done for you is to the highest standard by qualified individuals.
G&T Solicitors provide the vast majority of advice under legal aid funding meaning that you only have to pay for representation in certain circumstances. Where legal aid funding is not available, G&T Solicitors do not charge excessive fees for a high standard of work and provide competitive and reasonable fixed fees for all stages of proceedings.
I have been qualified as a solicitor for over 7 years and I am part of the duty solicitors scheme, meaning I am regularly assigned to represent people whom I have never met before at short notice with no prior knowledge of their circumstances.
I consider my expertise in building a rapport with clients, particularly young people and those with mental health issues or learning difficulties. I am at my best helping and advocating for those who cannot help themselves, which is all too common in the criminal justice system.
I otherwise enjoy dealing with cases involving technical aspects of fraud or computers, having litigated against prosecutions brought by HMRC and trading standards to great effect.
While I am a regular visitor to, and well known at, the local Magistrates' Court, I am no stranger to the Crown Court and spent the beginning of my career observing expert advocacy from some of the best barristers. I welcome the opportunity to use my rights of audience for bail applications and sentence hearings in front of Judges.
I am a practising barrister who has specialised in criminal litigation for over 15 years. I am a vastly experienced courtroom advocate having represented clients charged with an especially wide array of differing criminal charges. I am equally experienced as a trial advocate having conducted my first Crown Court jury trial back in 2006.
I have had the advantage of specialising in the bringing of Crown prosecutions for approximately 4 years. This means that I have a thorough understanding of the duties and roles of the Crown Prosecution Service.
This ability to anticipate the likely thought processes of prosecution lawyers, enables me to provide especially insightful legal advice to my clients as to how best to approach a particular set of criminal proceedings.
I was previously admitted onto the official ‘List of Specialist Regulatory Advocates in Health and Safety and Environmental Law’ as maintained by the Health & Safety Executive, Environment Agency, Office for Nuclear Regulation, Care Quality Commission, Office of Rail and Road and Natural Resources Wales.
I previously received further recognition within this field when included in the Legal 500 directory as a ‘rising star’ who is ‘…. hard-working, tenacious and knowledgeable.’
I am well-schooled in advocacy training and have taught advocacy as part of the Middle Temple’s advocacy training team.
We are happy to arrange appointments over the phone, at our office or at nearby Courts depending on what is needed for your case.
